Sketch Validation Application
The CUSA Sketch Validation Application is a web hosted application that allows the appraisers/assessors staff to compare building sketches against current aerial photography and in the process find square foot values in CAMA that do not match what’s visible on the ground. This service, at its vastly reduced cost of one penny per parcel (minimum $5,000 set up fee) plus 15 cents as each sketch is verified and flagged is available only to jurisdictions who are members of the CourthouseUSA network. Overview of the application:
- Provides the jurisdiction with a secure on-line application to do the sketch validation process in-house when time allows
- Sketch image displays in the work window
- Current aerial photography is displayed in the map window
- Parcel numbers and corresponding Neighborhood numbers are imported
- Work process allows for one or many reviewers
- Link to Google or Bing maps on-line
- Minimal up-front cost for setup and pay as you go service
- On-going maintenance of any changes or new construction
- iPad enabled in Phase II of development of software
Sketch Validation Workflow:
- Option to work in sequential order by parcel number OR
- Select Neighborhood and work sequentially through by parcel number
- Further review by selection of NBHD / CODE / REVIEWER combined
- Assign Code to sketch/parcel upon review
Sketch Validation Reporting – basic reports are available within the application and include the Production Totals, a generated Field Visit Report to assist in field work, Data Entry Report and a Neighborhood Report.
